I developed a WiFi-enabled smart switch that allows users to control their home appliances via a mobile application. This smart switch, powered by the ESP32 microcontroller, integrates seamlessly into existing home electrical systems without the need for rewiring. The project aimed to enhance the convenience and functionality of traditional switches by enabling remote control and automation through a user-friendly web app.

In this project, I was responsible for the entire development process, from design to implementation. I designed the outer plastic enclosure using Fusion 360, ensuring it was compact and aesthetically pleasing. I also developed the circuit, selecting the ESP32 board for its reliable WiFi capabilities and low power consumption. I wrote the Arduino code to manage the switch operations, and designed the web application using React and Next.js, allowing users to control the switch from their mobile devices. This comprehensive approach ensured that the smart switch was both functional and user-friendly.

The ease of use and reliability of the system are outstanding. The web app is intuitive and responsive, making it simple to control devices remotely. Vinay's expertise in both hardware and software is evident in the seamless integration and performance of the switch.

The smart switch leverages several advanced technologies to deliver a robust and efficient user experience. The ESP32 board was chosen for its dual-mode WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, providing reliable connectivity and control. The Arduino programming environment was used to write the firmware, managing the switch operations and ensuring smooth communication with the web app. The web application, built with React and Next.js, offers a responsive and intuitive interface for users to operate the switch remotely.
